SOLAR-READY ROOF & POWER PACKAGE

Reduce Energy Costs With Commercial Solar.

Zamax reviews how the property uses electricity, confirms roof and power readiness and checks the connection, funding and phasing route before a commercial solar, battery or EV project is committed.

WHEN IT MAKES COMMERCIAL SENSE

Is Commercial Solar Worth Exploring for Your Property?

The strongest opportunities usually combine meaningful daytime electricity use with suitable roof space and a workable power route. We test those fundamentals before recommending design or capital spend.

01

Electricity is a significant operating cost

We assess how much solar power the site could use directly, when that demand occurs and whether the likely savings justify moving forward.

02

The roof has suitable, usable space

The roof may be ready as it stands. We check its condition, remaining life, access and constraints before panels are specified.

03

Future demand may affect the right system

New equipment, business growth, EV charging or changed operating hours can influence capacity, distribution and the appropriate system size.

04

You want one accountable route

Zamax coordinates the roof, electrical, grid-connection and solar stages that apply, keeping the scope, sequence and responsibilities clear.

COMMERCIAL RISKS TO AVOID

Avoid Rework and Disconnected Decisions.

The value is not just the array. It is getting the roof and electrical route right first—avoiding delays, downtime, repeat access and unnecessary panel removal later.

Installing panels over a roof that later leaks or needs major work
Paying for repeat access, panel removal or unnecessary labour
Designing around current demand while ignoring future loads
Splitting responsibility across contractors with no coordinated sequence

ONE COMMERCIAL DECISION

Roof. Power. Solar.

The system has to work with the building beneath it, the power the site uses and the demands it may need to support next.

WHAT WE ASSESS

The Property Comes Before the Proposal.

We assess how the property operates, its condition and the demand it may need to support next.

HOW IT WORKS

A Clear Route From Assessment to Delivery.

Three clear stages from review to delivery.

1

Assess

Understand energy use, roof condition, available capacity and the commercial objective.

2

Define

Set the scope, phasing and sequence around site operations and downtime.

3

Deliver

Coordinate the agreed work, completion records and handover through one programme.

TAILORED SCOPE

A Scope Tailored to Your Property.

The scope is shaped around what the property genuinely needs. Additional work is included only where it protects the project or improves the result.

BEFORE CAPITAL IS COMMITTED

Build the Commercial Case Before You Commit.

A sound energy decision starts with the way the property actually operates. We compare demand, roof life, supply capacity, connection requirements, future loads, funding and phasing before recommending the route.

Match generation to real demandUnderstand when power is used and how much can be consumed on site. Protect the roof and electrical routeResolve constraints before equipment limits access or creates repeat work. Test the wider projectConsider batteries, EV charging, network requirements, funding and future growth together.

Savings, payback and carbon outcomes should only be presented where the property data and project assumptions support them.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A Few Things Worth Knowing.

Clear answers before you decide whether this package fits the property.

Does the roof need replacing before solar can be installed?

Not automatically. Some properties need targeted repairs or preparation rather than full replacement. The key is to assess the roof before finalising the solar route, so the client does not pay twice or create avoidable removal work later.

Is commercial solar only suitable for very large energy users?

No. High electricity costs and usable roof space can make solar worth exploring, but the value depends on when the property uses power, how much generation can be used on site, the connection route and the wider commercial objective.

Can Zamax manage the local network application and connection route?

Yes, where required. The application, connection requirements and delivery route can be handled as part of the package rather than left for the client to resolve separately.

What is a DNO and why might approval be needed?

The Distribution Network Operator (DNO) runs the local electricity network. Depending on the proposed system and how it may export power, the network may need to review or approve the connection before installation proceeds.

Can Zamax complete the roof work as well as the solar?

Yes. Where the roof needs repair, preparation or renewal, Zamax can complete that work before the panels are installed, alongside any electrical work required for the system.

Can the roof and electrical work be phased?

Yes, where the property and project allow it. The sequence should be defined at the start so each stage supports the next and temporary work is not duplicated unnecessarily.

Can finance options be considered?

Where suitable, finance routes can be considered alongside the project. Any option should be assessed against the total cost, term, energy use and expected commercial return.

What happens after the first conversation?

We establish the property objective, review what information is already available and agree the next sensible step—usually an initial assessment, site visit or defined feasibility route.
