START WITH THE REQUIREMENT

What Energy Upgrade Do You Need Help With?

Send the property details, energy bills, roof or electrical information, charger requirement or proposed change. We will confirm the right route and whether a site visit is needed.

RENEWABLES & EV CHARGING SERVICES

Commercial Solar, Battery and EV Work We Carry Out.

Whether the requirement is solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, supply capacity, roof readiness, funding route or a wider commercial energy upgrade, the work is shaped around the property, electrical demand, roof condition, DNO route and operating constraints.

01

Commercial Solar PV

Plan and install solar PV systems where the roof, usage profile, electrical setup and commercial case are suitable.

  • Roof condition and fixing route considered
  • System layout, generation and metering route reviewed
  • Operating constraints, site access and phasing checked
02

Battery Storage and Energy Controls

Assess battery storage where it can support self-consumption, peak load management or a wider energy strategy for the property.

  • Battery options reviewed where suitable
  • Solar self-consumption and load profile considered
  • Controls, monitoring and future use reviewed
03

EV Charging Infrastructure

Plan EV charging for staff, visitors, tenants or fleet vehicles around the available supply, parking layout and how the site operates.

  • Commercial EV charger installations
  • Load management and supply capacity reviewed
  • Parking, cable routes and user requirements considered
04

DNO, Supply and Capacity

Review incoming supply, distribution and connection requirements so solar, battery and charging work is not planned on the wrong assumptions.

  • Existing load and spare capacity reviewed
  • DNO application or notification route considered
  • Future expansion and protection requirements checked
05

Roof and Electrical Readiness

Check practical building requirements before solar, battery or EV work is committed to the wrong route.

  • Roof condition, fixings and access considered
  • Cable routes, isolators and distribution checked
  • Roofing and electrical remedials identified early
06

Phasing, Finance Route and Connected Works

Coordinate the connected stages where the project touches roofing, electrical upgrades, tenant needs, landlord plans, funding routes or phased delivery.

  • Phased delivery options where useful
  • Finance or funding route discussed only where available and suitable
  • Roofing, electrical and charging stages coordinated early

Tell us what you need and we will confirm whether we can help.

PLANNED FOR COMMERCIAL SITES

Commercial Energy Upgrades Must Fit the Roof, Power and Use Case.

Consumption, roof condition, supply capacity, DNO requirements, access, occupiers and downtime can matter as much as the equipment itself.

Commercial roofing and electrical work coordinated around a solar and power project
Roofing, electrical distribution, charging routes, access and live operations should be coordinated before installation.
01

Check the use case first

We look at what the property is trying to achieve: lower energy costs, improved self-consumption, EV charging, future capacity or preparation for wider upgrades.

02

Plan DNO, supply and access

Where work affects distribution, access, parking, tenants or trading areas, we agree what is affected, when it happens and how the work is sequenced.

03

Leave a clear handover

On completion, we provide the agreed records, certification where applicable, system information, monitoring details and follow-on recommendations.

WHEN OTHER WORK CONNECTS

Roof, Power and Charging Kept Coordinated.

When renewables or EV charging connects with roofing, roof fixings, distribution, metering, tenants, car parks or refurbishment, Zamax keeps responsibilities, connection points and sequencing clear from the start.

HOW THE WORK PROGRESSES

A Clear Route From Energy Requirement to Installed System.

You tell us the requirement, we confirm the right route, then install, connect and record the agreed work.

01

Tell us the requirement

Share the property, energy bills, charger need, roof details, existing supply information or the target you are trying to achieve.

02

We confirm the route

We visit or review the information where needed, then confirm what is required, what needs checking and the expected next step.

03

Install, connect and record

The agreed work is completed with records, certification where applicable, system information and recommendations provided where needed.

RENEWABLES & EV CHARGING FAQS

Practical Answers Before You Get in Touch.

Common questions about solar suitability, batteries, EV charging, DNO requirements, roof readiness and project route.

Is commercial solar worth it for my property?

It depends on the building, the numbers and how the site uses power. The strongest case is usually where electricity is used during daylight and the roof, fixing route, electrical setup and DNO position are suitable. Zamax reviews those points before recommending a route.

Can you install EV chargers for commercial premises?

Yes. We plan EV charging around staff, visitors, tenants or fleet use, including charger locations, parking layout, cable routes, load management and supply capacity so the installation fits how the site operates.

Can battery storage be included?

Where suitable, yes. Battery storage is assessed against consumption pattern, solar generation, peak load, controls, budget and intended use, so storage is only considered where it supports the commercial case.

Do you check DNO and supply capacity?

Yes. Existing load, spare capacity, distribution and the DNO application or notification route should be checked early so the project is not priced or planned around the wrong power assumptions.

Do you check the roof before solar?

Yes. On commercial buildings, roof condition and fixing route can matter as much as the panels. We consider access, roof covering, future roofing risk and any remedial work early so solar is not installed onto a weak route.

Can solar or EV be coordinated with roofing or electrical work?

Yes. This is one of Zamax's strengths. Roofing, fixings, distribution, metering, charger routes, car parks, tenants and refurbishment stages can be considered together so responsibilities and sequencing stay clear.

Can you help with finance or phased installation?

Where available and suitable, we can discuss phased delivery or finance and funding routes as part of the project route. We do not assume finance is right for every site; the route depends on the system, supplier, lender or funder and the commercial case.

What paperwork or certification is provided?

This depends on the system and agreed scope. We confirm the relevant handover records, electrical certification where applicable, DNO paperwork or notification route, system information, monitoring access, warranties and documentation before completion.

What information helps you assess the project?

Send the property address, energy bills or usage data if available, roof details, photographs, supply information, charger requirement, business hours, deadlines and any access or operating constraints.

Which areas do you cover?

Zamax is based in Blackburn and supports commercial properties across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West, depending on the scope.
